Many concerns have been expressed about the food bank at Church Community Services (CCS). They are understandable. I would like to clarify our position. Some of the confusion comes from not differentiating between a food bank and food pantry. The CCS food pantry will definitely continue operations. Seed to Feed will continue to distribute fresh produce through Church Community Services. All of our other programs will continue. The Food Bank of Northern Indiana will now pick up food from Elkhart County’s retail stores and deliver food to pantries and hot meal sites. (For more background on the transition, read more here).
Now, we will pivot and apply additional focus on our other programs and services within this community like Men Alive and Soup of Success. We still need your support and we’re very thankful for it. If you still have questions, please call or come in and see us.
